Monthly Board Meetings
The GCAHA Board of Directors try to hold the Club’s monthly board meetings at a location central to all board members. Meetings are currently held at Mama Mia’s Ristorante, 275 E. Dunne Ave, Morgan Hill. The meetings are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and are open to members and guests. Most meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month, with a couple of exceptions. GCAHA trail rides are open to all members and their guests, Arabian and non-Arabian breeds are welcome. There are four rides planned for this year. Visit the Calendar page to find dates and ride information.
It is recommended that if you are thinking about joining any of the rides, contact trail coordinator Annette Zuck at (408) 776-3600 or . This will allow us to notify you if the ride schedule changes for any reason.
GCAHA hosts a number of schooling shows during the year which are open to all breeds. For 2018, Gold Coast is hosting two schooling shows. See the Shows page for more details and download the class list, rules and entry forms before you head out to the shows.
These shows provide an excellent venue for horse owners to school their horses in a friendly show environment, permitting certain training aids to be used. Classes usually include English disciplines in the morning and western disciplines in the afternoon. Some shows may include leadline, driving, and reining classes. Gold Coast AHA hosts a rated (USEF & AHA approved) Arabian & Half-Arabian show at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville, CA. The June show includes a class schedule featuring both open & amateur classes all 3 days of the show, trail classes and high point western and English buckles! Be sure to mark your calendar – dates for 2018 is the second weekend in June (8, 9, & 10) – come join us for a fun time! The class schedule is currently under development and will be available late February. When complete, the show forms will be available for download on the Shows Page.
Watch for future show information and check Calendar for future updates. Don’t forget to the Show Manager, and request to be added to our email list for future show notices and premium lists, if you haven’t already done so.
The Club has proudly participated in local parades including the Gilroy Memorial Day celebration and the Morgan Hill Independence Day celebration. Parade viewers especially like the colorful Arabian native costumes worn by some of our riders. It is a good venue to display our beautiful Arabians.
